Chat 15th May

On 15th May our students had a very exciting experience. After a few arrangements on lessons times, they could chat with the Greek students. They have realised that English is more than grammar exercises and listenings. They have communicated and , what is more, they feel they can do it in English.
It has been a very rich experience and we, as teachers, have learnt that innovative technologies applied to the learning process do work!

Our Hobbies and Interests

When comparing the habits and preferences Greek and Spanish students have regarding hobbies and interests, we learn that they like playing sports, dancing, going out, going shopping, listening to music ... the same activities that we like doing in our free time. So, we come to the conclusion that we are not so different.

What do you have for breakfast?

We have analysed what Greek and Spanish teenagers have for breakfast: cereals, orange juice, milk, toast...
So, we can say that Spanish and Greek's likes regarding breakfast are not so different.

Partnership with a Greek school

This is the group of students of 2º ESO A at the Bajo Guadalquivir Secondary School in Lebrija, Sevilla. We have started a partnership project with the Greek school ΠΕΤΡΙΤΣΕΙΟ ΓΥΜΝΑΣΙΟ ΛΗΞΟΥΡΙΟΥ. The title of the project is “ IS IT TRUE THAT WE ARE SO DIFFERENT?” whose aims are:

  1. To adquire and improve the students' linguistic competence in English, Spanish and their own language.
  2. To motivate the students towards the learning of the languages by means of authentic communication.
  3. To know the English language and respect the culture of the twin countries.
  4. To discover other languages and cultures through the new information and communication technologies.
  5. To adquire responsibity and team- work compromises to achieve the aims of the project.

We have created this blog, so that sudents in both countries can share their opinions.

We get this opportunity to welcome the teachers and students from the partner school.
